Why Hoopigo?

Hoopigo is a start-up launched in France end of 2019. The initial idea of Hoopigo – solutions to improve patient’s surgery experience – stems from the founders’ own experience. Between 2010 et 2018, one of the founders had to undergo severe surgeries and treatments at the hospital. The founders reflected on what they would have liked to have as a digital support. They combined their experiences and in collaboration with a surgeon and several nurses, designed a digital solution, “hoopi patient”.

In 2019, a first prototype was tested at the urology department of Karolinska (in Stockholm), Sweden’ largest university hospital. Following the positive feedback from both the medical team and the patients, a new version was developed. This version (1.0) is fully scalable, multi-language (Swedish, English, French) and offering an easy-to-use interface for the hospital as well as a chat bot for the patients.
